Day Dreams

I have been day dreaming again today. This happens often in the winter. The temperature started out below zero this morning. It has been increasing all day. By running time in about 2 hours, it should make its way up to 18 degrees. The feels like temperature is only going to be 5 since there are SSE winds at 13 mph. This means wearing all the layers. It is 5 pm. I am sleepy. The part of my mind that wants to stay inside where it is warm has been making up reasons why skipping running today would be Okay. Too bad. I will be happy once I am out there and even happier afterward.

Today, I have been thinking of a warm spring day in the middle of April in 2005. There is a park where I lived back then that is a mixture of woodlands and gardens. I would visit in April to see the bluebells. The woodlands are in the flood plain of a river. In the early spring, they flood if the water level of the river is high due to the melting snow. By April, the waters have receded. The woodland floor is crisscrossed with fallen trees, tree branches and small streams. The bluebells surround them all. They go up the hill and down to the river. It looks like it rained bluebells. It is magnificent. Imagine the scene in the third photo multiplying and surrounding you in all directions. The first photo was taken in the area of the park with the gardens.

Take care, stay warm, and thanks for reading.
